about this home's

This gated California Hacienda is a single-level estate in Danville’s Rancho San Ramon, showcasing close to a million-dollar renovation with masterful craftsmanship that blends the transition of its original iconic design with restored and expanded features. From the Saltillo radiant heated tile floors and the thick adobe walls to the exposed beam ceilings and handcrafted cabinetry, this single-level home celebrates the authenticity of its rich heritage and a style rarely seen on the market.

More than an acre of level land is the setting for this home that features over 3,700 square feet of living space with four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a dedicated office, a fabulous great room with a gourmet kitchen, and a private living room. A detached, 640-square-foot shop plus a full bathroom offers the flexibility of creating an ADU, a guesthouse, home office, or more. Multiple wood-trimmed French doors open to spacious loggias and views of the restored pebble tech pool, spa and cascading waterfall, built-in barbecue, outdoor stereo speakers and raised garden beds.

A dramatic truss ceiling with exposed beams enhances the great room anchored by a massive wood-burning fireplace reminiscent of a grand lodge. A spacious dining area, designed to accommodate large gatherings, has a pair of French doors that open onto the loggia creating a seamless flow to outdoor entertaining space.

Walnut cabinetry, honed marble counters, and a massive eight by five-foot island illuminated by an iron chandelier create a stunning gourmet kitchen. A trio of barrel ceilings with a brick finish was custom designed for this room. Beautiful and functional, the kitchen is well appointed with a farmhouse sink and a prep sink. A Capital dual-oven, six-burner with griddle range is tucked in a custom niche with a hand-painted tile backsplash. Additional appliances include a full-sized SubZero refrigerator and freezer with glazed paneled facades and a Miele dishwasher. The pantry is hidden behind vintage doors.

The living room also has a wood-burning fireplace with a custom railroad tie mantel, vaulted exposed ceilings, hand-carved entry door, front-facing garden view loggia, and French doors to the backyard loggia and pool.

Four bedrooms include the private master suite that showcases an exposed beam vaulted ceiling, a walk-in closet, and two sets of French doors to the pool and gardens. Its beautifully designed bathroom has a walk-through shower featuring ledge granite and mosaic marble tile. It has a dual-sink vanity with a leathered granite counter and a pair of custom framed Robern cabinets.

Three additional bedrooms have decorative exposed beam ceilings and built-in wardrobes. One bedroom has an en suite bathroom and another bedroom has French door access to the loggia and pool. A spacious home office features dual custom built-in workstations and cabinetry, recessed lighting, and a front-facing built-in window seat. The powder room features a hammered copper vanity and sink, and hand-painted tiles.

The Rancho San Ramon neighborhood is within walking distance to downtown Danville. It is conveniently close to the shops, and restaurants, freeway access, and top-rated schools in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

The Town of Danville is located in the San Ramon Valley in Contra Costa County, California. It is one of the incorporated municipalities in California that uses "town" in its name instead of "city". The population was 44,631 in 2016. With a lively downtown district, shopping and outdoor dining are popular. Danville hosts a farmers' market each Saturday next to the Museum of the San Ramon Valley, located in the historic Southern Pacific Railroad Train Depot. The Iron Horse Regional Trail runs through Danville. It was first a railroad that has been converted to an 80-foot (24 m) wide corridor of bike and hike trails as well as controlled intersections. Extending from Pleasanton to Concord, the trail passes through Danville. Danville is also home to the Village Theatre and Art Gallery, hosting children's theatre, shows and art discussions.
